# Group Chat

## **Group Chat Features**

* **Permission Settings**\
  The creator of the group chat (Admin) can appoint managers to co-manage the group chat. Only the Admin has the authority to delete the group chat.
* **Member Levels**\
  The Admin can assign levels to active users, creating tiered benefits for different levels.
* **Announcements**\
  Important messages can be pinned to the top of the chat using the pin feature.
* **Global Push Notifications**\
  The Admin can use the @everyone mention to send an important message to all members once a day. This feature sends messages ignoring individual notification settings.
* **Entry for Specific NFT/Token Holders**\
  Entry can be restricted to users who own specific NFTs or tokens.
* **Mentions**\
  Users can call other members using the @handle, and the called user will receive a push notification.
* **Password Lock**\
  The group chat can be secured with a password, allowing only designated users to access it.
* **Do Not Disturb Settings**\
  Do not disturb settings can be applied to specific group chats to make them suitable for work-related use.

## **Linking with Channels**

Group chats can be set up as sub-chats within channels. If a conversation channel reaches its maximum capacity of 10,000 participants, an existing participant must leave the group chat before a new user can join.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wp.verylabs.io/verychat/group-chat.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
